Consumer protection is our top priority and together with our industry partners we strive to reduce the risks of food contamination and help ensure the safety of our consumers. Every product is carefully sourced and close monitored to ensure all safety measures are met as they are being delivered to our customers.

Food Safety Program

Ham Produce & Seafood is committed to providing our customers the highest level standard of products. To ensure our line of premium fresh products are safely sourced, handled and distributed, employees are frequently trained best practices and principles to implement an effective Food Safety Program. This helps ensures that our products meet or exceed the typical levels of food safety standards. Certification is frequently audited by various 3rd party auditors including the USDA, DLA Military, DOH, and Merieux-Siliker.

In addition to the implementation of a Food Safety Program, HAM is also in further compliance with a HACCP Program. Also known as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), this identifies critical control points concerning biological, chemical, and physical hazards and establishes a means of preventative measures.  Employees are continuously trained by certified HACCP instructors to guarantee the most up-to-date knowledge and food safety practices. Together with Food Safety, the HACCP Program is also frequently audited by various 3rd party auditors including the USDA, DLA Military, DOH, and Merieux-Siliker.
